Har Ki Dun

Located at a height of almost 3, 754 meters, Har Ki Dun Trek is known for its distinct blend of natural beauty and cultural richness, as you not only enjoy stunning views of the Himalayan ranges but also get to experience the local lifestyle of the Garhwal region. The trek passes through several quaint villages, oak and rhododendron forests, waterfalls, grasslands, alpine meadows, rivers, streams, and glaciers. It can be completed in about seven days starting and ending at Haridwar or Dehradun. Named after the Hindu Temple, Har Ki Dun has several legends associated with it. It is believed that this was one of the few places where Lord Krishna had performed his divine dance. The trail takes you through some of the most picturesque villages of the region, such as Osla, Seema, and Taluka. It is ideal for adventure lovers, photographers, as well as nature enthusiasts as it offers breathtaking views of the peaks of the Swargarohini range, Bandarpoonch, and the Black peak.
