Overview

Bhrigu Lake is a stunning high-altitude glacial lake situated at 14,100 feet in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, near Manali. Known for its mythological significance, the lake is believed to have been the meditation site of the great sage Maharishi Bhrigu, after whom it is named. What makes Bhrigu Lake unique is that it never completely freezes, even during harsh winters, adding to its mystical charm. The lake changes colors with the seasons, appearing crystal blue in summer and partially frozen in winter. Surrounded by the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar ranges, the trek to Bhrigu Lake offers breathtaking views of peaks like Hanuman Tibba, Deo Tibba, and Seven Sisters.
