Ali Bedni Bugyal is one of the most beautiful alpine meadows located at the border of Garhwal and Kumaon in Chamoli district in the Uttarakhand state to bring the most amazing views of the mighty Trishul Parvat (7120 meters). Bedni Bugyal at an altitude of 3,354 meters above the sea level brings the varied colors and diversified splendors of nature and is considered amongst the finest altitude of grasslands in the Garhwal mountains (altitude 3354 meters) famous for wild high altitude flowers and herbs during the spring thaw, and thaws the splendid view of the Greater Himalayan range.

This stipulated meadow of Bedni Bugyal brings the most fascinating trekking opportunities for the visitors to find the scenic mountains, deep valleys and lofty mountains along the most memorable sunsets and sunrises and the most enormous western flanks of Trishul and the Nanda Ghunti bringing heaven on earth. Trekking in Bedni Bugyal will take the trekkers to the highest bugyal in Uttarakhand. Day 1

Rishikesh – Lohajung (256 km/8hrs drive)

Day one of our trek is a long drive to reach Lohajung the base camp for this trek, we assemble at Rishikesh and board our vehicles to take us to Lohajung. The drive is a picturesque one and takes us through some of the popular destinations in India, right from Rishikesh, Devprayag, Rudraprayag, & Karnaprayag. We reach Lohajung by evening, where accommodation is arranged in the guest house, after dinner overnight at Lohajung.

Day 2

Lohajung – Kuling – Didna (10km trek /5-6 hrs)

Post breakfast, start your trek from Lohajung for Raun Bagad. This leisure route is full of pleasing view of nature. On the way, you will find a tranquil river called Neel Ganga, having a petite bridge erected on it. After crossing the bridge the further climb is steep and it takes almost 3 hours to reach Didina village. The trail passes through a vibrant forest which is perfect for nature quest. At Didina village, you will spend the night in tents at Didina campsite.

Day 3

Didna – Ali Bugyal (9km trek/6-7hrs)

To perceive the real beauty of Ali Bugyal, start your journey early at dawn. After crossing the way to the sprawling green blanket, the trail will lead you to a dense forest. The fragrance of oak trees will surely mesmerize you. On climbing further the topography changes with the appearance of the coniferous trees like deodar, pine, and spruce. Soon you’ll be in Tolkaan from where you can behold the first sight of the mini meadows. On reaching the ridge, you can have a 360-degree view of the lush green meadows of Ali Bugyal. The top of Ali Bugyal is at a distance of one hour from here. The further trek is restful to the place where fiber huts of forest department are located.

Day 4

Ali Bugyal to Ghairoli Patal via Bedni Bugyal (5km/4hrs)

This is the day when your three days wait will be over. Trek from Ali Bugyal to Bedni Bugyal (3300mtrs) and cross the vast expanse of the green alpine meadows. The prepossessing view of the Himalayan pasture land and the snow-capped Himalayan peaks will make you feel alive. The charming meadow of Bedni is adorned with thousands of colorful flowers in full bloom. Bedni Kund, a pristine lake in midst of this meadow is the sight to feast your eyes on! It is in the vicinity of a small temple, where the devotees pay their obeisance during their halt at BedniBugyal. Run down into the oak and Rhododendron forest. Half an hour into your decent, you get to a clearing. The green trekker’s huts signals Ghairoli Patal. On a clear day, you get astounding views of Mt Trishul commandeering over the area, there we camp for the night.

Day 5

Ghairoli Patal to Wan to Lohajung (6km/3-4hrs trek, 12km drive)

Post breakfast, pack your bags and take about turn to Wan village. The trek is downhill and it takes 3-4 hours to complete it. At Wan, drive further 12 km to Lohajung by local cabs. Have dinner and overnight stay at Lohajung.

Day 6

Lohajung to Rishikesh (256 km/8hrs)

Post breakfast, drive back to Rishikesh. Start early if you have to catch your pre-booked train/bus in the evening.

    • Fitness: A high altitude trek in the Himalayas requires considerable fitness. Your body needs to train itself to process more work with lower levels of oxygen. Therefore, on treks, cardiovascular training is critically important. You need to be able to jog a distance of 4 km in 40 mins before the start of the trek. Unable to do so can make your trek difficult. In addition, preparation of trek needs to include strength and flexibility training. Registering for the trek is an understanding that you will undertake the mandated fitness training.
    • Backpack carrying: Tripsaa expects all trekkers to carry their own backpacks. All common gear will be carried by the support team. If for some reason a trekker is unable to carry his or her backpack, he/she can offload the same by paying an additional charge before they start the trek. No suitcases/trolleys will be allowed.
    • Drop out during trek: If for any reason a participant has to drop out from the trek on any day then Tripsaa will help the trekker to reach the nearest road head. A support staff will accompany the participant to the nearest road head.
    • Non-liability: Tripsaa is not responsible for any loss/damage of your gears/ equipment or other belongings on the trek.
    • Payment: You may make this payment by Cash, Cheque, Online, DD or NEFT. Once you done the payment kindly provide us the payment detail through an email. (Go through payment procedure also.)
    • Payment procedure: To confirm your registration you need to pay at least 30% of trek fee as an advance and the balance payment has to be cleared before your pickup.
    • Cancellation: If the trek is called off at the last moment due to a natural calamity/unforeseen circumstances (like rains, earthquake, landslides, strike etc), Tripsaa will issue a trek voucher for the full amount. The voucher can be redeemed for the same trek or another trek in the next one year. The cancellation charges are as under:
        • Cancellations prior before 30 days from the start of the trek – Full Refund.
        • Cancellations prior to 29-15 days from the start of the trek – 80% Refund or Trek Voucher worth paid amount (Trek Voucher is valid 12 Months).
        • Cancellation prior to 7-14 days from the start of the trek — 50% refund or Trek Voucher worth paid amount (Trek Voucher is valid 12 Months).
      • Cancellation prior to 7 days from the start of the trek — no refund or Trek Voucher worth paid amount (Trek Voucher is valid 12 Months).
    • Drinking and smoking during the trek are strictly prohibited. If found flouting the rules, your participation on the trek will be canceled with immediate effect.
    • Route changes, postponement, delay or finishing the trek a day earlier: Under some extraordinary circumstance, your trek may end a day earlier or start a day later. This may become necessary due to inclement weather, snow and ice conditions, political restrictions or any other cause. In the event of a change, postponement or delay, participants have no right to refund of the trek (in whole or in part) or other compensation for any injury, loss or damage. Trek fee is not charged broken down in terms of days but is a composite fee for the whole trek.
